oil on masonite
I went to an art festival at the Montgomery Museum of Art recently. It was a beautiful day. There were children drawing on the pavement in these nice squared off areas. What a "feast of color". Couldn't resist the bright red background of this one. There were several artisans demonstrating their abilities as well.

Absolutely beautiful!
Love the red as well, and the war reflection on the girl's left arm.
Stunning painting!
This is beautiful Sherrie! Love the little girl's hair!
Thanks so much girls. Means a lot.
Glad to see you posting again and are well. Your paintings are lovely! Anxious to see the next one!
Thank you all for taking the time to comment...very encouraging.
Have you seen the work of Laurel Burch? She is famous for these colorful cats and other animals.
Thanks Dawn, I had not heard of her but I recognized the "look" of her work. I love it.. I was saddened to see that she passed away in 2007. I bet the young artists that worked on the chalk art knew of her work.
I absolutely LOVE this! It grabs you with the gorgeous color and fun subject. Wonderful painting!
